I did not see
this coming. I thought
The Social Network was on the same roll that
The Hurt Locker found itself on this time last year. But, by winning the Producers Guild award for best best picture,
The King's Speech is creeping up on the outside in this race. I don't think it has overtaken
The Social Network yet, but it is making the race a little more interesting. I stil think the Directors Guild award will tell us a lot as will the SAG awards if either of the two front-runners win it. (Last year SAG gave its best picture equivalent to
Inglourious Basterds and I hear the actors are leaning to
The Fighter this year.)
