Does this make him a celebrity?
According to Nielsen Media Research, 38 million persons watched Barach Obama make his acceptance speech last night. That's more people than watched the opening ceremonies of the recent Olympics in Beijing or the final "American Idol" and twice the number that watched John Kerry accept the Democratic nomination four years ago. Actually, it's more like 38,000,003 because our household watched the convention on C-Span, which doesn't subscribe to Nielsen and whose viewers, therefore, are not tabulated in Nielsen's ratings.
