Congrats to the folks at Texas Monthly who picked up four nominations this year from the American Society of Magazine Editors. Texas Monthly was the only Texas-based magazine to pick up any nominations. The nods were for:
General Excellence, Print (250,000 to 500,000 circulation). It’s competition in this category is The Atlantic, Audubon, New York and W.

Leisure Interests, for Step Right Up by John Spong, December
Feature Writing, for "Still Life" by the great Skip Hollandsworth, May.
