The nimbies strike again

Cliff dwellers are upset because the Dallas Housing Authority is considering renting 100 units at the Oak Cliff Manor high rise residential district. which basically comprises the skyline along Fort Worth Avenue, to homeless tenants who, in may cases, have battled chronic addictions and mental illnesses. Instead of complaing about the problem, they should be doing something constructive, namely finding an alternative place to house these folks.

I'm tired of people complaining about all the homeless and then complaining again when someone tries to do something about it. Of course, these complainers contribute to political campaigns and vote so council member Dave Neumann is on their side and against humanity and compassion.

Which is why the homeless need a champion like the Dallas Housing Authority.
