Why Garrett decided to stay

Morning News Cowboys beat writer Todd Archer presents a compelling reason for why Jason Garrett decided to remain with the team and not become the head coach with Baltimore or Atlanta (in addition to the obvious reason: owner Jerry Jones shelled out the big bucks): Archer writes:

"Had Garrett taken either the Baltimore or the Atlanta job, he would have to go through a pain-staking process of finding a quarterback in hopes of rebuilding offenses that finished 22nd and 23rd, respectively, in 2007. With the Cowboys, he has an offense that finished ranked No. 3 in the NFL in 2007 and had seven Pro Bowlers, including quarterback Tony Romo, tight end Jason Witten and receiver Terrell Owens. If the Cowboys can duplicate that kind of success in 2008, Garrett will continue to be the hot commodity for head coaching searches."

Makes perfectly good sense to me.
