The resurrection of Ann-Margaret

First she was the major attraction at the still-in-progress Dallas Whateverit’scalled Film Festival and now Ann-Margaret will join Bobby Rydell in an onstage discussion of the film Bye Bye Birdie April 27 at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Hollywood. I would love to attend this event. First I would like to see if Bobby Rydell can really "discuss" anything in semi-literate fashion. But the real reason is a digital restoration of the 1963 musical will be shown prior to the discussion. I know Ann-Margaret got an Oscar nomination for Carnal Knowledge, Dick Van Dyke was wonderful in Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Janet Leigh will always be known for the shower she didn’t get to finish, yet none of them ever were ever  better on-screen than they were in this film. Plus there’s that great simulated gang-bang scene.
