Forget health care reform legislation. That won't mean a thing by the time of November's mid-term elections. Neither will what is happening in Iraq and/or Afghanistan. The elections will hinge on one thing and one thing only: who's working and who's not.
Here's a prediction: If the unemployment rate is in double digits by November, Republicans stand to make significant gains, although it's doubtful they will regain control of the House of Representatives. If it's less, the Democrats will probably keep the margins they have now.
What's ironic about this is, if the Republicans could have enacted their economic legislative platform, unemployment would have been far worse that any figure this coming November will see.
