This had escaped me, but apparently the City of Dallas is thinking of changing the name of Industrial Boulevard. Apparently "Industrial" is not the type of descriptive name it wants for a thoroughfare that will run adjacent to the Trinity River Corridor Project. So city planners have come up with a list of possible names (including, I kid thee not, Kirk Parkway) which were presented today to the City Council's Trinity River Corridor Committee, the one in which Angela Hunt is not a member.
So it's public service time. What I want you to do is check out pages 5 and 6 of this briefing and let me know what you'd like the new name of Industrial to be. You can even vote to keep the name Industrial, which is what most of the businesses, who will not want all the additional expenses that come along with a street name change, will be in favor of.
Just think, all this could have been avoided by changing the name earlier to Trinity River Parkway. Oh, well.
