Tony Romo's injury not the serious one

OK, so Tony Romo is going to miss three games. Big deal. If the Dallas Cowboys truly are as good as everyone seemed to think at one time, then Brad Johnson should do at least as well as counterparts Kerry Collins is doing in Tennessee right now (the Titans are the last undefeated team in the NFL) and Jeff Garcia did with Philadelphia two years ago. Johnson may be slow, but he's smart. The injury I'm more concerned about is the broken foot suffered by punter Mat McBriar. Today is the NFL trading deadline and I'm betting Jerry Jones is constantly on the phone searching for another punter and possibly a backup QB.

Al Davis said he fired Lane Kiffin as coach of the Oakland Raiders because Kiffin wouldn't unleash quarterback JaMarcus Russell. Well, Russell was unleashed Sunday and what did he do? He completed only 37 percent of his passes for 159 yards. He was sacked twice, was intercepted once and he lost a fumble. Hmmm.
